'Wayward Pines' Fan Favorite Carla Gugino Returning for Season 2

"Wayward Pines" ended its first season by all but sealing the fate of actress Carla Gugino, but now it appears as though she will be back.

"Wayward Pines" ended its first season by all but sealing the fate of actress Carla Gugino. While Gugino wasn't expected to return for season two, it appears as though she will be back.

Gugino let the world know today that she was returning to "Wayward Pines" by posting a selfie from the set in Vancouver on her Instagram today:

Gugino's character, Kate Hewson, was cryogenically frozen at the end of "Wayward Pines" season one. According to TVLine, now that the series has time jumped three years, it's possible her character will be unfrozen at some point in season two.

Gugino most notable roles include "Sin City," "The Walking Dead," and "Sucker Punch." It's also rumored that she can be seen next in DC Comic's most anticipated superhero blockbuster, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which hits theaters March 25.
