Sometime between stealing scenes in "Captain America: Civil War" and heading to Atlanta to film "Spider-Man: Homecoming," Tom Holland managed to squeeze in a starring role in the indie thriller "Edge of Winter" alongside "Suicide Squad's" Joel Kinnaman. As you can see from this trailer, it looks pretty intense.

The directorial debut of Rob Connolly, the film stars Kinnaman as Elliot Baker, who's recently divorced, laid off and desperate to spend more time with his sons Bradley (Holland) and Caleb (Percy Hynes White). However, what begins as a family day trip to teach his sons to shoot turns into a nightmare when they're stranded in the middle of nowhere. As they find shelter in a desolate cabin, Elliot's mounting fear of no longer being able to see his sons pushes him to the edge. The two brothers quickly realize that the man responsible for their safety has now become their biggest threat.

Arriving July 26 on iTunes and Aug. 12 in select theaters, "Edge of Winter" also stars Rachelle Lefevre, Shiloh Fernandez, Rossif Sutherland, Patrick Garrow and Shaun Benson.
