If, for some unknown reason, you're not well-versed in the history of "The X-Files," Fox has unveiled the first minute of the upcoming revival that will bring you up to speed.

Housed on DoYouStillBelieve.com, the clip features David Duchovny's Fox Mulder recounting (with visual aids his lifelong obsession with alien phenomena, beginning with the disappearance of his sister, and continuing through his work at the FBI on the X-Files.

“In 1993, the FBI sought to impugn my work, bringing in a scientist and medical doctor to debunk it,” Mulder says, referring to Gillian Anderson's Dana Scully," which only deepened my obsession for the better part of a decade."

The six-episode revival of "The X-Files" debuts Jan. 24. on Fox.
