It may have been the final night of the Los Angeles leg of Taylor Swift's "1989" tour, but it felt a lot like 1995, as the pop superstar was joined on stage by "Friends" alum Lisa Kudrow for a rousing duet of "Smelly Cat."

"This singer, she's only after played in coffeehouses before," Swift told the crowd Wednesday night at the Staples Center. "She's never played a big venue like this, so you gotta please make her feel welcome. You guys, her name is Phoebe Buffay."

Wearing a decidedly Phoebe-esque skirt, Kudrow remained in character, interrupting Swift to offer pointers about her performance. "Whoa, sorry," she said. "You have to really feel the lyrics."

Phoebe's signature song, "Smelly Cat" debuted in the Season 2 "Friends" episode "The One With the Baby on the Bus," where she teaches it to a musician played by Chrissie Hynde.
