"Smallville" alum Laura Vandervoort's Indigo decides it's time to face "Supergirl" and her friends in person in a new scene from this week's episode, "Solitude."

Not only does the scene stand the hero and villain face-to-face for the first time, Indigo indicates that, like her comic book counterpart, she may have a connection to one of Superman's biggest foes: Brainiac.

"It's the sign of my people," Indigo explains of the symbol on her forehead, which is remarkably similar to the one seen on the classic character. "The font of omniscient knowledge."

In the comics, Indigo is the eighth incarnation of Superman's foe, aka Brainiac 8, sent back in time to destroy the Teen Titans.

Whether this incarnation of Indigo is indeed related to Brainiac remains to be seen, but they appear to share similar, computer-based abilities. With Supergirl recognizing the symbol and taking a trip to her cousin's Fortress of Solitude in order to take Indigo down, it would appear that she may be connecting the dots and coming up with a similar picture.
