In the latest trailer for Cinemax's "Outcast," Kyle Barnes decides to stop running and take a stand against the darkness that's plagued him all his life. Unfortunately for him, however, it seems that "possession is just the beginning" -- at least, according to the new promo and poster from Entertainment Weekly.

The poster plays off the trailer, featuring the aforementioned darkness reaching out to ensnare Kyle once more.

Based on the original Skybound comic series by Robert Kirkman, "Outcast" is executive produced by Kirkman, showrunner Chris Black, David Alpert, Sharon Tal Yguado and Sue Naegle, for Fox International Studios.

"Outcast" follows Patrick Fugit's Kyle Barnes -- a man who's been possessed by demons since childhood -- who sets out on a journey to find answers that could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it.

Starring Fugit, Philip Glenister, Wrenn Schmidt, David Denman, Reg. E Cathey and Melinda McGraw, "Outcast" season one has a 10-episode order. The series is scheduled to premiere on June 3.
