Disney's live-action remake of the classic children's film "The Jungle" book opens in theaters in just a few weeks. In this new clip from the film, Mowgli and his mother, Raksha, share a powerful bond and a promise.

"The Jungle Book" tells the story of Mowgli, a boy who was raised by a pack of wolves in the jungle. While not loved or respected by all of the members of the wolf pack, he is cared for by Raksha, who becomes his surrogate mother.

In the clip below, as shared by Entertainment Weekly, the leader of the pack, Akela, exiles Mowgli, and Raksha must say goodbye to her little "man cub."

Raksha is voiced by Lupita Nyong'o, who also voiced Maz Kanata, from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Mowgli is played by up and coming actor Neel Sethi, and Akira is voiced by "Once Upon a Time" and "Revolution's" Giancarlo Esposito.

"The Jungle Book" opens in theaters on April 15.
