UPDATE: 10/19/2015 3:45 PM PT: Along with the earlier clip (see below), the first photo of Michelle Veintimilla in costume as Firefly on "Gotham" has been released, as seen on TV Insider.

In the latest "Gotham" clip, young Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) seeks out the notorious Pike brothers with a job request and bumps into their younger sister Bridgit (Michelle Veintimilla), who will become the villain Firefly.

According to the official character description, this version of Firefly is "enslaved by her brothers, a notorious gang of arsonists... Bridgit Pike is forced into the family business. When she catches the eye of Selina Kyle, the young Cat Woman and the soon-to-be-Firefly team up to put Bridgit's firestarting skills to good use. But after a deadly encounter with the Pike Brothers, the meek Cinderella is transformed into a vengeful supervillain, hell bent on destroying those who have wronged her."

"We decided to make Firefly a woman because we wanted to describe how even a warm, loving and compassionate person can turn to the dark side when life pushes him or her that way," show creator and executive producer Bruno Heller said in a statement. "She's not driven by testosterone-fueled aggression, but by a burning sense of injustice. Michelle Veintimilla brings warmth and vulnerability to the role that conceals a steely core of strength and courage."

Starring Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue and David Mazouz, "Gotham" airs Mondays at 8 pm EST on Fox.
