To help promote the new "Star Wars: Force For Change" charity campaign, franchise veteran Mark Hamill donned a First Order Stormtrooper costume and strolled down Hollywood Boulevard, meeting with fans, posing for photos and encountering Darth Vader, a Jedi, Chewbacca and an Iron Man he briefly mistook for C-3PO.

Curiously, despite Hamill's distinctive voice, no one seemed to recognize, even when he posed with a man for a selfie and said "I'm Mark Hamill" instead of "Cheese!" Also, no nobody asked, "Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?"

The best moment, however, is when a woman admitted she's been in love with "Mark Hamilton," presumably since the original "Star Wars."

Now in its final hours, the Omaze campaign offers fans who donate $10 or more a chance to win a trip to the red-carpet premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The film opens Dec. 18 in North America.
