Universal Pictures has released three new clips from its upcoming "Bourne" series sequel, simply titled "Jason Bourne." The new film stars series mainstay Matt Damon as the eponymous Jason Bourne, a sleeper agent for the CIA gone rogue. Having remembered his true identity, Bourne embarks on a mission to discover even deeper truths about the program that made him.

The first clip shows Bourne embroiled in tense negotiation with CIA operatives Robert Dewey (Tommy Lee Jones) and Alicia Vikander (Heather Lee). Don't be fooled, it's still a Bourne movie. The negotiations don't go well.

The second clip is far more reminiscent of what made the original "Bourne" trilogy so iconic: Matt Damon in a car or on-foot, grievously damaging government property. The chase scene plays out against a neon, multi-lane Las Vegas backdrop the proves an unkind environment for SWAT cars.

Car chases might have defined the later Bourne movies, but the series started off with good old-fashioned fancy fisticuffs and, thankfully, that's one element that's here to stay. Here, Bourne wrangles a motorcycle to save Nicky (Julia Stiles), but not before putting some bike cops down for a punch nap.

"Jason Bourne" is the follow-up to the "Bourne" trilogy, which includes "The Bourne Identity," "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum," as well as the 2012 spinoff starring Jeremy Renner, "The Bourne Legacy." Paul Greengrass, who directed "Supremacy" and "Ultimatum" is back for the latest installment.

"Jason Bourne" hits theaters July 29, 2016.
