After failing spectacularly in 2013 to mend the rift between Harrison Ford and Chewbacca -- the actor memorably stormed off, pledging, "I'll see you in hell" -- Jimmy Kimmel finally succeeded last night, with a little help from Adele's "Hello."

Their reconciliation couldn't have come at a better time, as Chewbacca disrupted "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" by threatening to jump from the roof onto Hollywood Boulevard. Just as Kimmel's attempt to talk him down encountered a language barrier, Ford showed up ... to antagonize his former friend.

"Shut your Wookiee grunt-hole, will you?" Ford shouted. "Don't give me that -- you made a choice! She was my wife!"

However, cooler heads (and Adele) prevailed, as the "Star Wars" veteran remembered all the good times he and Chewbacca shared, and the two buried the hatchet, to much applause. And a little more shouting from Ford, this time directed at Kimmel.
