“Bratva” brings Queen, the superhero vigilante Green Arrow, back to Russia, a country he is intimately familiar with, to reunite with Anatoly Knyazev, Moscow leader of the Solntsevskaya Bratva. The Solntsevskaya Bratva is a powerful Russian mafia organization of which Queen is a member.

Queen saved Knyazev’s life while the two were prisoners of the mad scientist Anthony Ivo. Knyazev inducted Queen into the mafia organization as repayment for saving him. As the Green Arrow, Queen has used his mafia connections to track down dangerous villains and acquire information. Tonight’s episode looks to delve deeper into Queen’s ties to the organization.

A.R.G.U.S. is a research branch of the United States government that specializes in black ops, including extortion and recruitment of felons to perform clandestine operations as part of the Task Force X program. After the death of the organization’s former head, Amanda Waller, A.R.G.U.S. was reformed.
