A new banner for Ant-Man and the Wasp has surfaced online, and it offers the first good look at the Marvel’s sequel co-star the Wasp.
The photo arrives courtesy of actor Stephen Stanton, who’s in Anaheim, California, for D23 Expo, the official Disney fan exposition.

The banner shows Wasp, portrayed in the film by Evangeline Lilly, in her full gear, wearing a helmet similar to the one Paul Rudd dons as Ant-Man, with the hero’s signature wings flapping from her back. An Ant-Man and the Wasp banner will undoubtedly lead to speculation that footage from the film may be screened for those in attendance.
Director Peyton Reed recently teased new equipment for Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) in the sequel that “can do even new and stranger things,” in addition to commenting on the character’s new suit. “For Ant-Man specifically, in that first movie, the suit, intentionally so, is kind of a relic,” the director said. “It represents his past, so this is really the new iteration that is the modern version of the tech.”
Though word has been slim on Ant-Man and the Wasp’s plot, we’ve learned in recent months that Michael Douglas’ Dr. Hank Pym will indeed return for the film, which recently cast newcomer and Black Mirror alum Hannah John-Kamen.
Lilly confirmed last month that she was undergoing costume-fitting, teasing her appearance in the film with an image from the comics.
Opening July 6, 2018, director Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and the Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña and Michael Douglas.
