More than a decade after working together on the critically acclaimed "Orbiter," Warren Ellis and Colleen Doran are reuniting for a 26-episode weekly webcomic called “Finality."

Debuting next year on LINE Webtoon, the crime drama follows "the world’s greatest criminal investigator" Felicity Rockall and the young agent who’s brought in to control the middle-aged eccentric genius as they tackle a “frightening murder mystery that may prove to be Felicity’s final case."

Launched in 2004 by South Korea's top search portal NAVER, LINE Webtoon is a digital comic service for smartphones, tablets and browsers.

Ellis is no stranger to webcomics, having spent three years collaborating with artist Paul Duffield on the post-apocalyptic drama "FreakAngels."

"Finality" will be geared to readers on mobile devices, making the format a bit of a challenge for Doran, known for such works as "A Distant Soil" and "The Sandman."

“It’s been great to be working with Warren again," she said in a statement. "Drawing digital comics on the vertical format is a new challenge for me that I am excited to be undertaking with him and LINE Webtoon. I think fans are going to be really excited about what we have created with 'Finality.'”

"Finality" launches in 2017 on LINE Webtoon.
