Warner Bros. has announced a July 25, 2014, release for Jupiter Ascending, Andy and Lana Wachowski's follow-up to Cloud Atlas, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum joined the cast of the sci-fi adventure a while back, followed by Les Miserables star Eddie Redmayne in December, but not much has been mentioned in regards to the film since then.

The complicated story sees higher life forms from other worlds watching over the rest of the galaxy. As it turns out, Kunis' character, a Russian immigrant, shares the same genetics as the Queen of the Universe. Her existence bothers the queen so she sends a bounty hunter (Tatum) after her. The two fall in love and things go on from there. Redmayne's role has yet to be defined.

While figuring out their schedule, Warner Bros. moved the Sylvester Stallone/Robert De Niro boxing flick Grudge Match from November 2013 to January 2014. Jupiter Ascending will be going up against Brett Ratner's Dwayne Johnson-starrer Hercules from Paramount.
