The next step in Warner Bros.' massive big screen superhero universe plan, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," has been rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America.

The film, which features Wonder Woman in addition to the two titular heroes, received the rating due to what the MPAA called "intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality," according to Entertainment Weekly.

"Batman v Superman's" predecessor, "Man of Steel," also arrived in theaters with a PG-13 rating.
