At the end of the newly released international trailer (above) for "War for the Planet of the Apes," The Colonel (Woody Harrelson) tells the his fellow troops, and the viewing audience, what is at stake in the third movie in the rebooted franchise: "...If we lose, it will be...a Planet of Apes.”

While not as iconic Charlton Heston's "Take your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape!" from the 1968 original "Planet of the Apes," it manages to hammer the point home, and end the trailer with a somber chill.

The stakes are high for both sides, and the new trailer builds the tension, showing several extended scenes compared to the recently released domestic trailer. Including, a fateful meeting between Harrelson's Colonel, a ruthless human determined to wipe simian life off the Earth, and the leader of the ape colony, Caesar (Andy Serkis).
