"The Walking Dead" star Ross Marquand knows who Negan killed in the Season 6 finale, but his lips are sealed. Speaking to IGN, he discussed how he feels about AMC keeping the dead character's identity under lock and key, what's in store for Season 7 and more.

"They do take it seriously, and I think it's a good reason," he shared. "We want to protect it for the fans who don't want it spoiled. I think the majority of fans don't want to know. They want it to be an unspoiled thing. I started as a fan of the show. I would hate it if someone actually revealed to me what happened. That's like skipping to the last page of the book."

While he couldn't offer too many details about Season 7, he did offer a few teases, saying, "First and foremost, Negan's back, and he's exciting. Secondly, we're going to see what the group can do with this new threat. It's just an entirely new world, and I think it's going to bring a lot of interesting characters to the forefront. We're also going to see a whole new world develop with Jesus and the Hilltop crew. It's a lot of good stuff coming."

"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC for its seventh season this October.
