AMC’s adaptation of Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard’s Image comic “The Walking Dead” is proving hard to put down in the ratings.

The Hollywood Reporter has the word that with last weekend’s third broadcast episode, the show’s audience increased by almost half a millions viewers with 5.1 million people catching the episode that features Rick Grimes’ reunion with his family.

The number is up from 4.7 million viewers for the series second episode after an initial Halloween broadcast that brought 5.3.

The trade noted that 2.1 of the 3.3 adult ages 18 to 49 were men, showing what is perhaps an expected gender weight to the audience. For more, check out The Hollywood Reporter and stay tuned to CBR and Spinoff Online for more on “The Walking Dead.”
