As Negan has struggled with his villainous legacy in The Walking Dead's tenth season, the fan-favorite antagonist has ventured from Alexandria and found himself deep in Whisperer territory.

After years of imprisonment for leading the Saviors in an all-out war against Hilltop and Alexandria, Negan began turning towards the possibility of redemption by the end of Season 9. After rescuing Rick's daughter Judith, the community had begun to give their former enemy more freedom. However, after accidentally harming Margo while breaking up a fight, Negan was locked up by Daryl before making an impromptu escape as tensions between Alexandria and the Whisperers continued to grow.

Now, in an exclusive clip from the season's sixth episode, titled "Bonds," Negan takes the opportunity to grow closer to Beta, the Whisperer enforcer who discovered him trespassing in the first place.

As Beta escorts Negan deeper into Whisperer territory so the former Sanctuary leader can meet with the creepy faction's leader Alpha, Negan makes conversation by continually discussing Beta and Alpha's tacit romantic relationship, much to the obvious annoyance of Beta.
