Although AMC remained steadfast for years that The Walking Dead and its spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead, would never feature crossover stories, that all changed when executive producer Robert Kirkman revealed at last week's New York Comic Con that one such event was indeed in the works. The writer announced that one character from one of the series would appear in the other, but was naturally coy about the who, when and where. Thanks to a tweet from The Walking Dead alum Michael Cudlitz, however, we now might have an inkling about who the character in question might be: Cudlitz's (now deceased) character Abraham.RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Fear the Walking Dead’s Alicia & Nick Debate Value of Survival

Abraham met his demise in the show's Season 7 premiere at the hands of the eccentric Negan -- along with Steven Yeun's Glenn -- and remains dead in the current continuity of the network's primary zombie drama, but Fear the Walking Dead doesn't run concurrently with its sister series. Even at a little over three seasons in, the spin-off's stories run closer to the outbreak than The Walking Dead, meaning a crossover featuring Abraham could act as a prologue of sorts, especially considering his briefly-mentioned backstory.

Shortly after Abraham was first introduced, he revealed that he was living with his family in Texas around the time of the outbreak, making him potentially very close in proximity to the leads of Fear the Walking Dead, who will soon be departing the country of Mexico and heading north.
