Vin Diesel has worn many hats in his career from action superstar to voice over actor. But perhaps his most notable role has been that of serial studio announcement ruiner.

After telegraphing his involvement with Marvel Studios long before he voice Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy and making a rolling news feed of his Facebook page in the buildup to Riddick, the actor yesterday dropped a notice that if real may mark his greatest shadow announcement ever.

As part of the build up to the limited theatrical run of director Brad Bird's remastered The Iron Giant (where he voiced the titular man of steel), Diesel mentioned the following with the latest recut trailer on his Facebook page. "I have been very lucky to have played so many interesting characters...one of the first and one of my favorites is...the Iron Giant," he said. "P.s. Don't be surprised when you hear WB announce the sequel."

Of course, Diesels' words could mean a number of things. There could be talks at Warner Bros. of an animated sequel considering the muscle the studio is putting behind this new cut. Then again, it cold be wishful thinking on the part of the star. Stay tuned to see if Vin "The Spoiler" Diesel has truly done it again.
