Vin Diesel has shared how his upcoming Bloodshot movie will lay the foundation for the introduction of a plethora of other Valiant heroes, eventually leading to an interconnected world akin to the popular Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I think what this does is it opens the door for all of them. I think you’re going to see all of them," Diesel stated during an interview with Superhero Thailand. "If you’re a fan of Valiant Comics, then you are going to be delighted to hear -- I think they’re going to wait until the movie comes out -- but they’re gonna start putting out to the press all the Valiant comic books that are going into the cinematic universe. It’s going to be very exciting. I would stay tuned to that."

The Bloodshot comic book, which Diesel’s movie is based on, tells the story of an amnesiac soldier named Raymond Garrison who, thanks to nanites in his blood, can heal and shapeshift. The character was originally created by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton and first appeared in 1992’s Eternal Warrior #4.

Directed by Dave Wilson (VFX Supervisor for Avengers: Age of Ultron) with a script by Eric Heisserer (Arrival) and Jeff Wadlow (Truth or Dare), Bloodshot stars Vin Diesel, Guy Pearce and Toby Kebbell. The film is slated to arrive on March 13.
