Although Marvel Studios tries to make its Marvel Cinematic Universe as family-friendly as possible, there are some moments in the films that definitely aren't for kids. We've compiled a list of ten scenes in the films and on television that definitely aren't for kids.

In Guardians of the Galaxy, the titular team fought Ronan the Accuser, who is working for Thanos. He agrees to steal the Space Stone for the Mad Titan. When we're first introduced to the character, he's taking a bath in what we shortly find out is the blood of a Xandarian.

There's also Captain America: The First Avenger. There's a lot of killing in that movie, but one of the most shocking scenes is comes towards the end of the movie when, after losing a fight with Captain America, a Hydra Agent is thrown into a plane propeller. Sure, he's a Nazi, but the death is still particularly brutal, and it's likely most parents don't want their kids seeing anyone turned into meat chunks.

Considering there's talk that the upcoming Black Widow solo film could be the first R-rated film in the MCU, there's a good chance a lot more risky scenes are coming down the pike. Disney CEO Bob Iger has repeatedly expressed that there's room for R-rated Deadpool films after the House of Mouse finishes its acquisition of key assets from 21st Century Fox, including the Merc with a Mouth. Still, PG-13 movies can still have some risky content, so it's unlikely the next time we make a list of scenes that aren't for children in the MCU, we'll still be seeing movies that aren't R-rated on that list.
