SEATTLE, WA – – The much talked about contest that
became the buzz of library and school communities in 2006 returns
bigger and better as Unshelved announces the second PIMP MY BOOKCART
contest, sponsored by Highsmith.
Inspired by an Unshelved strip, PIMP MY BOOKCART became an instant hit
with over 100 entries competing for a variety of prizes. The
overwhelming response to the contest virtually guaranteed its return.
Now Unshelved creators Bill Barnes & Gene Ambaum have partenered with
Highsmith to offer even more prizes, including two brand-new

Last year’s winner “Pink Cadillac” by Katie George and the teens of
the Miller Branch Library of Howard County Library in Ellicot City, MD
will be on display at the Highsmith booth at the upcoming American
Library Association annual conference in Washington D.C., June 23-26,
