Marvel Comics has revealed the specifics behind yesterday's Ultron Agenda teaser -- an upcoming story arc in Tony Stark: Iron Man. But instead of the Armored Avenger squaring off against Ultron, the main antagonist is Machine Man leading a "Robot Uprising" of the Marvel Universe's artificial intelligence.

Newsarama reports "Ultron Agenda" starts in Sept.18's Tony Stark: Iron Man #16 and will also pull in supporting character Jocasta, especially considering her connection to the villain Ultron.

Created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, Ultron first appeared in 1968's Avengers #54. The powerful artificial intelligence was created by Hank Pym, and had his mind modelled on that of his maker. Ultron goes on to create Vision using Wonder Man's brain patterns. The villain is one of the fiercest villains in the comics. He appeared in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he was voiced by James Spader.

Debuting in 1977's 2001: A Space Odyssey #8, Machine Man was created by the legendary Jack Kirby. He would make his Marvel Universe debut in Incredible Hulk #235-237.
