LOS ANGELES, March 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Ultimate Sports Entertainment, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: ULSP – News) announces a deal with the Dallas Mavericks to sell Issue #1 of a collectible comic book series entitled “Full Throttle” exclusively at Wal-Mart. The joint retail and arena promotion is made possible by Ultimate Sports’ unique license with the NBA.
The first issue of this promotional series will be available for sale exclusively at 50 participating Wal-Mart stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex with an initial purchase from March 22 through April 27, 2003, or while supplies last. A special “American Airlines Center Edition,” will be distributed by the Mavs to the first 3,000 fans on March 22, 2003 at American Airlines Center when the Mavs host the Phoenix Suns at 7:30 p.m. CT.
The action-adventure comic book will feature Mavs owner Mark Cuban with Mavs players Dirk Nowitzki, Michael Finley, Steve Nash, Eduardo Najera, Raef LaFrentz, Popeye Jones and General Manager/Head Coach Don Nelson. Mavs broadcasters Derek Harper and Brad Davis, as well as local WFAA sports anchor Dale Hansen and KISS FM’s Kidd Kraddick, will make a special cameo appearance. The Mavericks will use their superpowers to battle Gargamon and his illiterate subterranean beasts as they attempt to take over Dallas.
