Marvel's latest teaser image hints at the possibility of another major shake-up in its Ultimate Universe as David Marquez's cover (an homage to the classic John Romita "Amazing Spider-Man" #50's issue-ending splash page) hints at the possibility of the young hero hanging up his tights. As readers of the book already know, with a number of other genetically enhanced spiders skittering around, the potential for more Spider-Men and Women certainly exists, and Brian Michael Bendis recently hinted at some massive storylines in the series' future.

"We're going to do a pretty bold time jump for the series," Bendis told CBR. "It's a pretty big deal. I got to a place with "Ultimate Spider-Man" where we're allowed to go a little crazy, and I've decided to do so -- both with story status quo and in terms of not having to make every issue the next day."
