ULTIMATE AVENGERSToon Zone has a look at the cover and the specs for the sequel to the direct-to-DVD Marvel feature animated film.

BLACK PANTHER

Speaking of Avengers, actor Wesley Snipes talked to Men's Fitness magazine (as quoted over at Superhero Hype) talking about T'Challa. "We're actually talking about doing Black Panther," Snipes said. "He was the first African American superhero. He was around before Blade. He's the original. We've already done a lot of work on it. We hope to have a director soon."

SPIDER-MAN 3

There's an interesting scan of Gwen Stacy and Spidey on the side of a building over at Ain't It Cool News, as well as a look at Topher Grace as Eddie Brock and James Cromwell as Captain George Stacy. Superhero Hype also has three set reports centering in on where the film is shooting this weekend. Most interesting of all is a set of quotes from Avi Arad at If Magazine claiming that there are four villains in this film, not two. "Pretty soon [we'll reveal the fourth villain] I believe," he said. "Maybe around Comic Con we'll reveal something and the madness will begin."

X-MEN 3

According to USA Today, "The studio is also exploring a movie with Three Kings director David O. Russell based on the character of Emma Frost, a sexy mutant telepath who can transform her skin into diamonds. She is an X-Men comics regular but was not featured in the movies." They also note the idea of a film focusing on just the young students at Xavier's school.

THAT'S A WRAP

Here's where you get in on the action. Did you see a link we didn't catch? Have you snuck into a closed movie set, and have inside data? Maybe your cousin is dating somebody who knows something, and they had to tell you? Whatever it is, we wanna know it all -- fire off an email and let us know whether you want your name used or your contributions to geekdom to go down anonymously. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is novelist/karaoke host/all-around lunatic Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, and [tagline sent back to development hell until something hipper can be dreamed up].
