Transformers 2, The Losers, Spider-Man 4: May 21st Comic Reel

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

The people at Comingsoon.net claim that actress Megan Fox and director Michael Bay will present a new clip from the movie at the MTV Movie Awards.

Meanwhile, can you pick the new production stills from the older ones from this set of photos at Latino Review?  It’s a lot easier, checking out their early look at the new Transformer Sideways.

Starring Shia Lebeouf, release date: June 24, 2009.

THE LOSERS

A report from Blackfilm notes that Spanish actor Oscar Jaenada will play Cougar in the Sylvain White-directed Vertigo adaptation.

Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana and Idris Elba, no release date announced.

SPIDER-MAN 4

Will Kirsten Dunst be back as Mary Jane or not?  Director Sam Raimi doesn’t know.  “Kirsten? I have talked with her, and she’s very excited about the possibility of it,” Raimi said. “I think I’m going to have to read the screenplay and make sure everything we’ve talked about is working, before I could honestly tell you absolutely how [MJ’s return to the big screen] would go.  Right now, David Lindsay-Abaire, a New York playwright, is working on the screenplay. He says that he’ll be done in about four weeks with his first draft. So that’s where I am right now. And I’m just about to hire a production skeleton.”

Starring Tobey Maguire, release date: May 6, 2011.

THE SURROGATES

Latino Review has an early review of the Bruce Willis-fueled graphic novel adaptation.

Directed by Jonathan Mostow, release date: September 25, 2009.

IRON MAN 2

Superhero Hype has a series of set photos showing Robert Downey Jr. training for some of the on-screen combat.

A few days ago, director Jon Favreau tweeted that the production was about half way done with filming and he posted a photo of paparazzi outside the set.

Starring Don Cheadle and Gwyneth Paltrow, release date: May 7, 2010.

GREEN LANTERN

Actress Sol Romero told Sci Fi Wire that her husband, director Martin Campbell, would get her into the picture.  “We’re still in the casting process,” she said.  “So I really can’t talk about who I’m playing yet. But I personally think the movie is going to be bigger than any other comic movies.”

Release date: June 17, 2011.

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

If this photo is any indication, the movie will kick butt … or punch you in the face.  It’s hard to tell.

Starring Michael Cera and Brandon Routh, release date: 2010.

TERMINATOR SALVATION

Right here at CBR News we’ve got a feature article featuring actors Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood, and Common.

Release date: ooh, today!

I CAN’T WORK UNDER THESE CONDITIONS

If you have the scoop on anything related to comic book movies, TV adaptations or just want to give us a truck full of cash, no questions asked, drop us a line and let’s coordinate.  You can choose an alias if you’d like, or be mentioned by name — we honor requests for anonymity.  Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, fresh comics reviews go online this afternoon and The Hundred and Four wrote this column in a five-year-old’s bedroom … but she wasn’t there, so it’s cool.
