As July 2020 continues, the past week saw a big wave of trailers heralding the second half of the television season, new video games on the horizon and things to come beyond the summer months from The CW's full television lineup to the next wave of programming for streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime and HBO Max.

Here are all the biggest trailers, teasers and promos released during the first full week of July 2020.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

In a preview for the next episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Marvel Cinematic Universe's covert team moves further up the timeline as they continue to battle the time-traveling Chronicoms throughout S.H.I.E.L.D.'s history. In an effort to restore longtime S.H.I.E.L.D. operative Yo-Yo's lost powers, the team reunites with Daisy's mom Jiaying in her Inhuman safe haven.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Wen along with Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Iain De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Elizabeth Henstridge and Clark Gregg. The final season airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia

The popular anime franchise Bakugan is coming to the Nintendo Switch this November, with Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia. Reimagined as an RPG, the game features an all-new story in which players befriend the eponymous beasts and train them to battle fearsome opponents in both solo and thrilling online matches to find the ultimate Bakugan team and become the true Champion of Vestroia.

Developed by Spin Master, WayForward and Warner Bros. Games, Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia will be released for the Nintendo Switch on November 3.

The Boys

The Seven's war against The Boys escalates in the first teaser trailer for the second season of the hit Amazon Prime original series. With Billy Butcher and the rest of the team on the run after the events of the first season, The Seven welcomes new team member Stormfront as Billy continues to face off against the villainous Homelander. Unsurprisingly, bloody and explosive mayhem ensues as the true nature of The Seven's leader is revealed to the general public.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander, Aya Cash as Stormfront and Simon Pegg as Hughie's dad. Season 2 premieres Sept. 4 on Amazon Prime Video.

The CW

Although production on its shows currently remains suspended, The CW has released a new sizzle promo highlighting its entire programming lineup through the expected start of its television season in January 2021. Opening with its currently airing summer-season shows, the promo confirms the arrival of DC Universe's Swamp Thing and the final stretch of episodes of Supernatural this fall, with star Jared Padalecki thanking fans for their continued support.

The promo ends with teasers for the series returning to the air in January, including Riverdale and the various Arrowverse series, while also teasing the premiere of the latest Arrowverse series Superman & Lois, showcasing Tyler Hoechlin back in action, suited up as the Man of Steel once again.

Doom Patrol

A promo for the latest episode of Doom Patrol continues to put the focus on family while Cyborg and Robotman go on their own retro adventure. The clip showcases the second season's fifth episode, titled "Finger Patrol," in which Cyborg and Robotman become 1970s police detectives, sporting new, period-appropriate looks. Meanwhile, Negative Man reunites with his family as the Chief introduces one of Crazy Jane's more childish personalities to his daughter, Dorothy Spinner.

Streaming now on DC Universe and HBO Max, Doom Patrol stars Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor, Diana Guerrero as Crazy Jane, Alan Tudyk as Mr. Nobody, April Bowlby as Rita Farr, Joivan Wade as Vic Stone and Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder.

Halloween Kills

Given the uncertainty over movie theaters reopening in the face of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming slasher sequel Halloween Kills has opted to delay its wide theatrical release by a full year to ensure audience safety and provide an uncompromising big-screen experience for viewers. To help fans cope with the delay announcement, filmmakers David Gordon Green and John Carpenter have provided a short teaser for the sequel, which picks up immediately after the end of the 2018 revival film as Laurie Strode and her family watch in horror as firefighters set out to stop the raging fire that trapped Michael Myers.

Directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Danny McBride, Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier, Halloween Kills stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak and Judy Greer. The film is set to hit theaters on Oct. 15, 2021.

The 100

The 100 has officially entered the second half of its seventh and final season with the heroes overwhelmed by enemies, old and new. The CW released an extended promo for the backdoor pilot episode of its planned prequel spinoff series, which shows how humanity reacted in the immediate aftermath of nuclear Armageddon on Earth. And an even more ominous promo for next week's episode shows how several longtime characters were swayed to become Disciples while Indra enters a desperate alliance against the sinister villain Sheidheda.

The 100 stars Eliza Taylor, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles and Shannon Kook. The series airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Pokemon GO

The popular mobile game Pokemon GO is about to stage its annual Pokemon hunting event, Pokemon GO Fest, which is going virtual due to the global health crisis. Acclaimed filmmaker and longtime Pokemon fan Rian Johnson directed a promo for the event, showing gamers uncovering Pokemon hiding in their everyday surroundings before facing off against one another in friendly competitions between Pokemon Trainers.

Pokémon GO Fest 2020 runs July 25 through 26 from 10 am to 8 pm local time. Tickets cost $14.99 and are available through the app.

Stargirl

As Courtney Whitmore continues to rebuild the Justice Society of America in the inaugural season of Stargirl, the latest promo shows the teenage superhero turn to an unlikely individual to be the team's latest recruit: Brainwave. Henry King, Jr., the son of the original supervillain who remains comatose after battling Stargirl, is a high school classmate of the team's. While the new Wildcat is skeptical Henry can turn good, Courtney believes the boy may not be willing to follow in his evil father's footsteps.

DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl) and Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan (S.T.R.I.P.E.). The series airs Monday on DC Universe and Tuesdays on The CW at 8 pm ET/PT. The series also stars Amy Smart, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Cameron Gellman, Trae Romano, Jake Austin Walker, Hunter Sansone, Meg DeLacy, Neil Jackson and Christopher James Baker.

Transformers: War for Cybertron - Siege

The eagerly anticipated CG anime series Transformers: War for Cybertron will recount the war between the Autobots and Decepticons for the fate of their planet, starting with the first installment in the trilogy, Siege, which premieres this month. An ominous final trailer shows Megatron walking through a battlefield littered with Transformer bodies as he contemplates all he has done to ensure a Decepticon victory in the epic conflict. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime is seen rallying wounded and war-weary Autobots to stop the Decepticons from using the life-giving Allspark to reshape Cyberton in their fiendish image.

Developed by Rooster Teeth Studios, Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege features the voice talents of Jake Foushee as Optimus Prime, Jason Marnocha as Megatron, Linsay Rousseau as Elita-1, Joe Zieja as Bumblebee, Frank Todaro as Starscream, Rafael Goldstein as Ratchet, Keith Silverstein as Jetfire, Todd Haberkorn as Shockwave & Red Alert , Edward Bosco as Ultra Magnus & Soundwave, Bill Rogers as Wheeljack, Sophia Isabella as Arcee, Brook Chalmers as Impactor, Shawn Hawkins as Mirage, Kaiser Johnson as Ironhide, Miles Luna as Teletraan I & Cliffjumper and Mark Whitten as Sideswipe & Skywarp. The film will arrives on Netflix July 30.

Ultraman

Netflix's CG Ultraman anime series is coming back for a second season, and a new trailer reveals the three Ultramen from the inaugural season will be joined by one of the greatest heroes of them all: Ultraman Taro. Heralded as the greatest Ultraman, Taro would train future generations of Ultramen while serving as the adopted brother to Ultraman Ace. It is unknown how much Season 2 of the new anime series will touch on this background, but the trailer offers a look at four Ultramen in fiery action as they save the world.

Season 1 of Ultraman is currently streaming on Netflix. Season 2 has yet to receive a release date.

The Umbrella Academy

The Hargreeves family is back in action in The Umbrella Academy Season 2, this time finding themselves on a race to stop the end of the world in 1963. Seemingly rejoined by Ben Hargreeves, the team of misfit superheroes find themselves in Dallas ten days before the assassination of President John F. Kennedy after learning from the time-traveling Five that the historical murder is linked to an all-out nuclear war. While being pursued by new operatives linked to The Commission, the team must preserve the timeline and prevent the apocalypse once again.

Based on the Dark Horse Comics series created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, The Umbrella Academy stars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Justin H. Min. Season 1 of The Umbrella Academy is currently available on Netflix and Season 2 will be released on July 31.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds

The next WWE-licensed video game trades out realistic designs and conventional action for a more arcade-oriented gameplay experience and cartoonish designs in WWE 2K Battlegrounds. The latest trailer for the game has the extensive cast of pro wrestlers unleash heightened versions of their signature moves in no-holds barred combat in rings all over the country. The new game marks a change in direction for the video-game franchise after the lukewarm reception to the more traditional WWE 2K20, now favoring over-the-top action and design as the developer has taken a step back to rethink its strategy moving forward.

Developed by Saber Interactive, WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be released on Sept. 18 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
