Not only is CBS's "Supergirl" digging deep into DC Entertainment's bench of supervillains to pit against its titular protagonist, the series is making a point of paying homage to the characters' comic book roots.

This new teaser for next week's Toyman-centric episode not only finds the villainous Winslow Schott utilizing his trademark playthings of doom, the doll he uses to send a message to his son, Kara's best friend Winn, is the spitting image of the character's '70s incarnation, though his name was Jack Nimball.

"Childish Things" - Kara does her best to support Winn when his father, the supervillain Toyman, breaks out of prison and seeks out his son for unknown reasons. Also, Cat offers Lucy a job at CatCo and Alex asks Hank to use his powers to help uncover Maxwell Lord's plans, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, Jan. 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Henry Czerny guest stars as Winslow Schott, Sr., aka Toyman
