Comic-Con International in San Diego is just around the corner, which means everyone involved is scrambling to get ready and let fans know what items will only be available at the show. But before getting into the exclusives from Funko, Diamond Select Toys and more, we're very excited to talk about two news items that got us super-excited: "The Walking Dead" Building Blocks and a huge Lobo statue from Sideshow Collectibles.

THE WALKING DEAD | McFarlane Toys continues to come up with new and different ways to give "The Walking Dead" fans a variety of collectibles. This week, The Nerdist broke the news that the company is working on Building Block sets for the undead franchise somewhat similar to LEGOs. The Toys R Us exclusive sets include Daryl on his chopper, the Governor's room and the prison tower. In addition to the sets, blind-bagged figures of Daryl, The Governor, Carl, Michonne, Riot Gear Walker, Michonne's Pet Walker and Her Walkers will also be available.

LOBO | The baddest bastich in the cosmos is finally getting his fraggin' due thanks to Sideshow Collectibles. The Last Czarnian stands 28.5 inches tall and comes with a pair of heads. The Lobo Premium Format Figure will also come in a Sideshow exclusive version with a right hand holding a flaming skull. As if that weren't enough, Sideshow is also selling a Lobo's pet Dawg as an in-scale, 8-inch companion piece complete with nameplate. Both ship next May.

DIAMOND SELECT TOYS SDCC | Diamond Select Toys showed off one more SDCC exclusive this week. Bluntman and Chronic will join the company's other Kevin Smith-inspired MiniMates at this year's convention. The characters were first seen in "Chasing Amy" and then featured heavily in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back." The duo also starred in real-world comics which inspired this particular con-exclusive 2-pack in paint scheme and facial expressions. DST also announced their SDCC panel line-up which includes a MiniMates-focused presentation on Saturday and a more general one on Sunday.

FUNKO SDCC EXCLUSIVE | The folks over at Funko just can't seem to get enough when it comes to SDCC exclusives. This week they showed off another two rounds of figures and collectibles only available in San Diego in a few weeks. From the line of "Frozen" Pop Vinyls, attendees will be able to scoop up variants like glow-in-the-dark Olaf, mid-transformation Elsa and frozen Anna. "Breaking Bad" fans will be able to get Pops of glow-in-the-dark Walter White and beat-up Jesse Pinkman. Other offerings include Hershel from "The Walking Dead" with removable head, a glow-in-the-dark "Game of Thrones" White Walker in the Legacy format and both DJ Pon-3 and Spitfire from "My Little Pony!"

TONNER SDCC EXCLUSIVES | High quality doll markers Tonner have been known to offer a variety of different pop culture offerings and they're doing the same thing at this year's Comic-Con International as well. In addition to the vintage resin Wonder Woman, Tonner will also have a Sheldon Cooper from "The Big Bang Theory" sporting a Green Lantern T-shirt. Both dolls are limited to just 100 pieces.

SUPER 7 SDCC EXCLUSIVES | In addition to a whole bunch of the vinyl figures they've become famous for, Super 7 will also feature a few film-based SDCC exclusives this year. First off, they continue the "Alien" ReAction love with a retro Egg Chamber Playset in addition to blind-boxed ReAction figures from the same series that come in a Xenomorph Egg! Meanwhile, the company will also sell a Gimp-in-the-Box featuring the ReAction version of that character from "Pulp Fiction."

INJUSTICE | Batman and The Joker just can't seem to get enough of each other. They've fought in everything from comics and cartoons to movies and video games. The latter match-up gets the spotlight this time around thanks to Bluefin Tamashii Nations' upcoming "Injustice: Gods Among Us" S.H.Figurarts toys. Both figures come with a slew of accessories and original face mask designs. Both hit stores in December.

IRON MAN 3 | It seems like not a week goes by where we don't get a look at another Hot Toys figure based on that crazy scene at the end of "Iron Man 3" with a legion of armors flying around. This week, the company showed off the Mark XLI armor dubbed "Bones" which splits apart to take on as many bad guys as possible! For the figure, the pieces are actually held together with magnets to offer easy dismemberment!

DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES | With "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" running through theaters this week, it comes as no surprise that companies like Pop Culture Shock want to get in on the fun with their collectibles. In this case, we're talking about a 24-inch tall statue featuring Andy Serkis' Caesar in full-on warpaint. Meanwhile, an exclusive version limited to 150 pieces will also be available, this one comes with two more spears. Both ship next spring.

BATMAN | DC drew our attention to the fact that model maker Eaglemoss is embarking on a wildly ambitious Batman Automobilia Collector's Club that plans on making 75 different versions of Batvehicles from a variety of sources. The line will find influence in everything from the comics -- including "Zero Year" -- through the various TV shows and movies. If you sign up to become a member, you get two model kits each month. Head on over to Batman-Cars.com to sign up or get more details.

TRANSFORMERS | Michael Bay's fourth Transformers movie, "Age of Extinction" might have just ravaged box offices recently, but this latest collaboration from Sideshow Collectibles and Prime 1 Studio looks back to the original film for inspiration. The team-up led to the creation of this 26-inch tall version of Starscream with LED lights and swap-out arms. In fact, the Sideshow exclusive version comes with a Swa-Blade arm variant for additional transforming fun.

DOCTOR WHO | As we get closer to seeing Peter Capaldi's first outing as the main character in the current "Doctor Who" series, many fans will look back and compare him to previous portrayers. Big Chief Studios Limited is doing the same thing with a pair of classic Doctor 1:6 scale figure offerings. First off, there's the limited edition Commemorative Edition of the First Doctor as played by William Hartnell. He comes in a limited offering and with a bevy of accessories. Meanwhile, BCSL is also finalizing the alternate Tom Baker head seen here for their existing Fourth Doctor figure. He sure looks... enthusiastic, doesn't he?

JAK AND DAXTER II | Gaming Heads continues to spread the Jak and Daxter love with their latest statue based on "Jak II." The piece featuring the video game duo stands 15 inches tall and comes in two different versions. The basic color version has 850 pieces while the exclusive faux bronze edition will only be available to 350 collectors. Both ship in early next year.

HASBRO SDCC EXCLUSIVES | We thought Hasbro was done showing off SDCC exclusives after those space-based Marvel figures and the rock band Transformers but then they come out with their most surprising entry of all: a ROM the Space Knight Mighty Mug! A beloved licensed Marvel comic from the late '70s and early '80s, ROM is actually owned by Parker Brothers which is why you haven't seen any reprints. This urban vinyl-inspired piece stands 5.5 inches tall and helps celebrate the robot's 35th anniversary in style! The Space Knight joins another beloved property at Hasbro's SDCC booth, this one Jem of "...and the Holograms" fame. Called Rockin' Romance Jem, this doll rocks a killer side pony, high heels and never-before-used vintage box art.
