Everyone thought we'd have to wait until September 4 to finally get a look at all those awesome Star Wars goodies in advance of the December 18 premiere of "The Force Unleashed" and then BAM, we get the very first look at Stormtrooper toys from Hasbro, LEGO and Mattel. That was quite a shock, but we didn't let it deter us from focusing on an avalanche of awesome Comic-Con International: San Diego exclusives from Hasbro, Diamond Select Toys and others along with Toys "R" Us exclusives from NECA and a few other fun surprises revealed throughout the week.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE UNLEASHED | Star Wars fans might be waiting until September 4 to see the full slate of "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" collectibles, but Entertainment Weekly gave them a first look this week thanks to peeks at LEGO's Buildable First Order Trooper and Mattel's Hot Wheels First Order Stormtrooper car, but the first toy from the film you'll actually be able to buy is the SDCC-exclusive 6-inch Black Series First Order Trooper from Hasbro!

HASBRO SDCC EXCLUSIVES | In other Hasbro SDCC exclusive news, the company gave IGN the first look at the Transformers show set. The Combiner Hunters 3-pack includes new versions of a trio of female bots: Windblade, Arcee and Chromia. Like many of this year's 'Formers offerings, this set is firmly ensconce in the Combiner Wars cross platform campaign, taking its main cues from the IDW "Combiner Wars" comic series. To really complete the theme, a special edition of the Devastator Combiner (the one being hunted in the series) will also be available for purchase at the show.

DIAMOND SELECT TOYS SDCC EXCLUSIVES | For their SDCC exclusives, Diamond Select Toys traveled to familiar territory: Gotham City, that is. Their slate of Cali-only collectibles includes a roughed up 6-inch version of Penguin and a Minimate 2-pack of Jim Gordon and Bruce Wayne from "Gotham," along with black and white versions of "Batman: The Animated Series" statues of the Dark Knight, Catwoman and Harley Quinn.

Speaking of black and white, a similarly themed Minimate set of the original comic style Ninja Turtles will also be available alongside the Defiant ship from "Star Trek," a 4-inch Vinimate vinyl version of Kevin Smith, an angry Stay Puft Marshmallow Man bottle opener, Ghostbuster logo pizza cutter and a 4-pack of "Ant-Man" Minimates including Scott Lang, Shrinking Ant-Man, Shrinking Yellow Jacket and Ant-Thony the Ant.

FUNKO SDCC EXCLUSIVES | Funko has so many SDCC exclusives in the works that they had to split them up into two different posts. The first showed off Pop Vinyl versions of Bender (golden), Sadness from "Inside/Out" (with sparkle hair), the Twelfth Doctor (in a spacesuit) and Deadpool with his Chimichanga truck (in X-Force colors). An Infrared Hikari Boba Fett, slimed Dr. Peter Venkman Vinyl Idolz and 6-inch Dorbz Batman also rounded out the first batch.

Meanwhile, the second revealed more Pops of Unmasked Captain America from "Avengers 2," Golden Frieza from "Dragon Ball Z," French Mistake Castiel from "Supernatural" and Dinoco Lightning McQueen from "Cars." Other offerings include and unmasked Flash ReAction figure and a 6-inch Dorbz XL take on Rocket Raccoon.

BIF BANG POW SDCC EXCLUSIVES | The last batch of SDCC exclusive collectibles this week comes from Bif Bang Pow who revealed 6-inch versions of Werewolf Ethan and Vanessa Ives from Showtime's "Penny Dreadful," a Hawk City "Flash Gordon" 3 3/4-inch figure set and a 4-pack of "Star Trek" Captain Monitor Mates Mini Bobbleheads!

X-MEN | With the Marvel NOW X-Men line already kicked off with Cyclops, Kotobukiya is following strong with the second installment: Emma Frost. Dressed in her more recent dark duds, the 7.5-inch tall ARTFX+ statue comes flowing jacket and a "I'm taking over your mind, darling" pose. Emma hits in December with more X-folks to come between now and then.

RETRO DC | Figures Toy Company continues to pay homage to figures of days gone by with their World's Greatest Heroes packs featuring various DC characters. Recently, they unveiled some limited-to-100 sets that include a Superman, Supergirl, Bizarro and Mr. Mxyzptlk 4-pack and then 2-packs of Unmasked Batman with Alfred, Riddler with Penguin, Riddler with Catwoman and Supergirl with Bizarro. These are currently available for pre-order, but supplies are limited.

FUNKO | Oh, hey, are you one of the many people clamoring for more "Agent Carter" merch? Well Funko has just that for you in the form of a red hatted Agent Carter Pop Vinyl hitting in August! They also unveiled Marvel-riffic Wackly Wobblers of Ant-Man and Yellowjacket from their upcoming movie which land in July.

That same month sees the release of the very first line of "Peanuts" Pops which consists of eternal sad sack Charlie Brown, his rad dog Snoopy, Linus and Lucy Van Pelt and Sally.

Finally, Funko also revealed that they're digging deeper into the Hanna-Barbera archives to create Secret Squirrel and Morocco Mole Pops along with Wacky Racers Lil' Gruesome, Dick Dastardly, Muttley and a version of the Mean Machine that comes with a different version of Muttley!

NECA TOYS "R" US EXCLUSIVES | It might seem like it around this time of year, but not all exclusives can only be found in San Diego. NECA announced a pair of new Toys "R" Us exclusives for "Alien," "Predator" and "Pacific Rim" fans. First up, the Anteverse version of Gypsy Danger that is missing an arm (on purpose), partially transparent and coated with iridescent paint to really bring the end of the film alive. Meanwhile, a Predator and Alien 2-pack will also be available at the major toy chain. This one tips its hat to the 1994 Kenner 2-pack, but with updated figures based on the Renegade Predator and Big Chap figures with different accessories and paint jobs. It also includes a reprint of the very firs t"Aliens Vs. Predator" comic from Dark Horse. Both can be pre-ordered now and delivered in the fall or purchased in-store at that time.

VINYL IDOLZ | The claymation-esque world of Vinyl Idolz from Vinyl Sugar continues to grow as more and more licensed toys are unleashed. This week, "Hot Fuzz" and "The Walking Dead" got in on the game. The Edgar Wright film now has Nicholas Angel and Danny Butterman toys while "Walking Dead" expands its collectible collection with Daryl, Rick and Michonne. Both sets debut in September.

TOY SOLDIERS: WAR CHEST | Finally, remember when you were a kid and you'd have epic battles on your floor with just about every toy you had at the time? Well, "Toy Soldiers: War Chest Hall of Fame Edition brings that to the video game world. This strategy game literally takes place on a battlefield made of and filled with toys, but the best part is that actual toys like He-Man and Duke from G.I. Joe are getting in on the action. The game will be available this summer on Xbox One and PS4 digitally and traditionally.
