This week's collectible news and announcements largely revolved around interpretations of comic book heroes and villains on screens both large and small. Hot Toys revealed Joss Whedon's new takes on the Avengers by showcasing upcoming "Age of Ultron" figures while DC Collectibles brought new animated Batman figures out of the shadows and Funko gave AMC's "The Walking Dead" another Mystery Minis treatment. That's not all, though. "Frozen" and Funko continue to create collectibles while Diamond Select Toys debuted Bluntman and Chronic toys inspired by Kevin Smith's "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" which features its own in-movie comic book film.

MARVEL STUDIOS | Hot Toys gave fans waiting for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" the first look at Iron Man's armor from that film, but didn't stop there. At Toy Soul 2014, the company unveiled even more figures based on the upcoming Joss Whedon film including Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow and Hulkbuster Iron Man!

As if those weren't enough, Hot Toys also announced two other pieces on their Facebook page. First, they have an "Iron Man 2" version of Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark that will come with a variety of Arc Reactor equipment including the easter egg prototype for Captain America's shield. And finally, the Hong Kong company celebrates the greatness of baby Groot with Little Groot. This potted figure will come with three different heads to help him get his groove on. You'll have to play "I Want You Back" yourself, though.

STAR WARS | Hot Toys didn't just unveil Marvel movie toys at Toy Soul, but also a variety of Star Wars ones as well. On their Facebook page, the company gave full details and a variety of images for the first in the line: Boba Fett! That rad-looking, but not super effective character comes with his signature Mandalorian armor and weapons. At the show, Hot Toys gave previews of their Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader and a Shadow Trooper. We'll keep you posted on more information as it comes!

Note that many of the photos posted on the Facebook page are actually of Sideshow's large-scale Star Wars toys.

DC COLLECTIBLES | With their latest batch of solicits, DC Collectibles showed off new animated Batman action figures and statues of Superman and Wonder Woman. Toys based on "Batman: The Animated Series" include Batman, Riddler and Penguin while the Batgirl offering is based on "The New Batman Adventures. The bad guys seem to come with walking aides while the heroes come packed with long distance weapons.

Meanwhile, DC's two heaviest hitters will be getting new statues. Superman's The Man of Steel line scored a John Romita Jr.-inspired version of the world's greatest hero while Wonder Woman joins the DC Comics Cover Girls series. All of these figures and statues will hit stores next July.

THE WALKING DEAD | Funko wants to fill the void left by AMC's "The Walking Dead" during the mid-season hiatus by showing off the third series of blind-boxed vinyl figures in the Mystery Minis line. Daryl Dixon, Hershel, Glenn, Tyreese, Abraham, Carol, Maggie and Rick have made the cut this time around in regular, blood-splattered and sometimes glow-in-the-dark offerings along with some walkers. The boxes will start appearing in stores in February.

BATMAN | Tweeter Head is launching a line of maquettes based on the denizens of Gotham City, so who better to kick off with than that fiendish feather fowl, The Penguin?! The statue, which comes complete with cigarette holder, top hat and deadly umbrella, stands 11.5 inches tall and is limited to 250 pieces, so if you want to add this golden age goodie to your collection when it ships in April.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON | Did you miss this week's CBR post previewing "Avengers: Age of Ultron" by way of LEGO sets? Then what are you waiting for? Check out this image and head here for all the details!

JAY & SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK | Diamond Select Toys displayed their Bluntman and Chronic figures based on Kevin Smith's "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back," but The Fwoosh scored the first official photos of the toys this week. The line-up will include Smith's Bluntman, Jason Mewes' Chronic and Mark Hamill's Cock-Knocker. Each figure comes with their on-screen weapons as well as a piece of the Bluntcave. They hit stores next spring.

FROZEN | If you're not "Frozen"-ed out -- in other words, if you're not the parent of a toddler or preschooler -- then you'll be psyched to see that Funko has a new slate of collectibles based on the film's characters set to hit in February. The new wave of Pop Vinyls will include Young and Coronation versions of Anna and Elsa as well as Summer Olaf. Meanwhile, the Mystery Minis based on the Disney film will feature a variety of different Anna and Elsa and Olafs figures, a Kristoff, Sven, a few Marshmallows and even Pabby the troll.
