Marvel Comics is well known for their impressive and varied line of Star Wars comic books. Ever since the franchise returned to Marvel in 2015, fans have been treated to solid releases like "Star Wars: Lando," "Star Wars: Han Solo," and "Star Wars: Poe Dameron," along with the ongoing "Star Wars" and "Star Wars: Darth Vader" series. With "Darth Vader" drawing to close, a new series is poised to take its place.

Currently dubbed "Star Wars: Classified," this new ongoing series is set to launch in December, according to Newsarama. Taking the helm as writer is "Darth Vader" writer and Marvel veteran . He'll be joined by Kev Walker, a long-time Marvel artist who has worked on "Marvel Zombies," "New Avengers" and "Uncanny Inhumans." The series will feature cover art by Kamome Shirahama, and variant covers by Jamie McKelvie, Elsa Charretier, Rod Reis, Salvador Larroca, John Tyler Christopher, Annie Wu, Declan Shalvey, and Dave Dorman.

Additional details regarding "Star Wars: Classified" are currently scarce. No word on what characters will be featured, when it will take place in the timeline, or what the general plot will be. There is, of course, speculation, ranging from a story picking up after "Return Of The Jedi," to a spin-off featuring Doctor Aphra from "Star Wars: Darth Vader."
