Here is an archive of all the past top five lists I've done over the years.

I've spoken about Kitty Pryde's propensity for giving speeches before, but now I'm going to count down her five best! Shout out to John Klein III for just being such a big Kitty Pryde fan that I bet he'd get a kick out of me giving him a shout out here.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

It's a silly bit, as she's just pumping up cheerleaders, but this speech from Excalibur #34 (by Chris Claremont and Ron Wagner) is still fun...

In Mekanix #5 (by Claremont, Juan Bobillo and Marcelo Sosa), Kitty debates a racist student at the Chicago university that they are both attending...

5. Astonishing X-Men #22

In Astonishing X-Men #22 (by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday), Kitty gives a nice speech to Colossus about the importance of grabbing whatever happiness you can get in life...

4. All-New X-Men #13

In this meta-heavy speech in All-New X-Men #13 (by Brian Michael Bendis and Stuart Immonen), Kitty responds to a then-recent speech by Alex Summers stating that he felt that the world "mutant" was an ethic slur...

3. New Mutants #45

in New Mutants #45 (by Claremont, Butch Guice and Kyle Baker), a mutant teenager takes his own life at a local high school. Kitty gives a speech after his death...

This speech gets some demerits for Kitty's casual use of slurs for rhetorical purposes. She's super quick to drop the n-word.

2. Marvel Graphic Novel #5

Perhaps Kitty's most FAMOUS speech, and her first major one, occurred in the story God Loves, Man Kills by Chris Claremont and Brent Anderson...

God Loves, Man Kills by Chris Claremont and Brent Anderson...

It's a good speech, but I like #1 better.

1. Uncanny X-Men #210

A powerless Nightcrawler is being attacked by an anti-mutant crowd in Uncanny X-Men #210 (by Chris Claremont, John Romita Jr. and Dan Green) and Colossus and then Kitty Pryde talk them out of it...

Good stuff.

Okay, that's the list! Agree? Disagree? Let me know!
