Freshmen #1, the first issue in Top Cow Productions’ uproarious new college-meets-superpowers series, has sold out. The issue hit stands July 13, 2005, and was sold out at the distributor level the day after.
Freshmen is the co-creation of actor Seth Green ( Robot Chicken, Family Guy, Austin Powers) and writer Hugh Sterbakov. The intoxicating and comedic tale of incoming college freshmen gaining wild and untamed superpowers has taken the comic world by storm. “I couldn’t be more excited. This is a real thrill. I love that people are reading and loving the book,” said Seth Green.
Both Green and Sterbakov are lifelong comic fans and collectors, enjoying their first chance to create in the comics field. “This is a huge honor for me,” said writer Hugh Sterbakov. “As a longtime comic book fan, I’m blown away that my first comic has exceeded expectations. I hope the readers enjoy these characters as much as I have, and I can’t wait to get the next issue in their hands so they can see where the story is really going!”
