Movie 43 screenwriters Rocky Russo and Jeremy Sosenko are set to adapt Alex Robinson's 2008 graphic novel Too Cool to Be Forgotten for Red Crown Productions and Likely Story, Deadline reports.

The film is the first to emerge from Likely Story's first-look deal with Top Shelf Productions, part of a 2010 capital investment in the independent publisher.

The Harvey Award-winning graphic novel centers on Andy Wicks, a 40-something father of two who, after trying everything else, turns to hypnosis in an attempt to kick his 25-year smoking habit. Unfortunately for Andy, the hypnotherapy session seemingly transports back to 1985 and into his gangly teenage body, forcing him relive those awkward, horrifying years.

Movie 43, written by Russo, Sosenko and Patrik Forsberg, is a sketch-comedy film featuring segments directed by Peter Farrelly, James Gunn and Brett Ratner, among others, and boasting an ensemble cast that includes Kristen Bell, Emma Stone, Gerard Butler, Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, John Hodgman, Kate Winslett and Uma Thurman.
