Colin Donnell, currently saving lives on "Chicago Med," gave an amusingly ambiguous answer on Twitter to the numerous fans asking if he'll appear on the 100th episode of Arrow. And gven the nature of the space-time continuum, it's possible that both answers given by Donnell are correct.Spoiler alert: Maybe?RELATED: CW’s Behind The Teams Featurette Spotlights Arrowverse Crossover

To kick off Monday morning, Donnell teased his followers, stating he would give an answer on whether or not his character, Tommy Merlyn, would be appearing on "Arrow" this week. While clearly stating the answer was not going to be definitive, many hoped that Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) best friend and the son of his "frenemy" Malcom Merlyn (John Barrowman) would find a way to come back from the dead. Given the reappearance of the former Ra's al Ghul on "Legends of Tomorrow" as a member of the Legion of Doom and Flashpoint happening this season, a timely appearance of the deceased character seem plausible. Donnell's answer, alas, did not clear things up.

Using the hashtag "No Spoilers," Donnell stated he would be on the episode. In the same tweet, he informed everyone that he would not be on the show, leaving fans and followers with no recourse but to rampantly speculate. Since he states he will appear, it makes sense that Donnell was on the set of the show. By following with "the answer is also No," it could mean a very temporary return to "Arrow." Given the nature of Flashpoint on "The Flash," which is wreaking havoc on the entire Arrowverse, there are several possible explanations. Maybe it will be a Tommy Meryln from a different time, or a different Earth. It could be a dream sequence or a mind-controlled vision, since we know the The Dominators will have different abilities than their comic counterparts.

Whatever the truth actually is, everyone will know the answer Wednesday evening.

Starring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer, “Arrow” airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, John Barrowman, Willa Holland and more.
