Tom Hiddleston may have just added his name to the list of potential contenders to succeed Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Speaking with the Sunday Times, the "Thor" star indicated he'd definitely be interested in the iconic role, which could place him in competition with the likes of Idris Elba and Tom Hardy (if the rumors, and the bookmakers, are to be believed).

“I’m a huge fan of the series. We all went to see 'Spectre' when we were shooting 'Skull Island' in Hawaii," he said. "I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology. I love the whole thing. If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity. And I’m very aware of the physicality of the job. I would not take it lightly."

Hiddleston already has one spy role to his credit: He plays the lead in the six-part adaptation of John Le Carre's "The Night Manager," airing now on BBC before debuting next month on AMC.
