Suggesting the first full trailer could arrive any day now, Empire and Entertainment Weekly have debuted the first images from Tim Burton's “Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children."

Based on Ransom Riggs' bestselling 2011 novel, the film tells the story of Jacob Portman, a teenager who, in the aftermath of a family tragedy, follows clues from his grandfather’s past that lead him to derelict orphanage for “peculiar children" and a gateway to an alternate realm.

The photos showcase Asa Butterfield as Jake, Eva Green as the shape-shifting Miss Peregrine, Judi Dench as Miss Avocet, Ella Purnell as Emma, Lauren McCrostie as Olive, Pixie Davies as Bronwyn (Pixie Davies), Cameron King as the invisible Millard, and Thomas and Joseph Odwell as the twins, among others.

Opening Sept. 30, the film also stars Chris O’Dowd, Allison Janney, Rupert Everett, Terence Stamp and Samuel L. Jackson.
