An Avenger to cameo in “Thor?” The Wrap reports a certain member of the team shows up in an early cut of the film. Since there was some hooting about this being a spoiler around the film blogger water cooler, I’m leaving the actor’s name under a spoiler alert. “Although the person declined to elaborate on the context of the character’s appearance or when it will occur. They did, however, confirm Jackson’s earlier statements that Nick Fury does not appear in ‘Thor,’ they write. Meanwhile, actor Stellan Skarsgard tells Collider a little bit about working on the film. “I had a great time. I also had a great director there. Kenneth Branagh is one of the funniest directors on the set. You laugh a lot. He’s very skillful. We were also allowed to have rehearsals before we started, and discuss the writing and change the scenes. It felt like you were invited to a very nice collaboration. It’s another film done in the real world, where my scenes are,” he says. I guess he’ll be surprised to see the Asgard scenes at the premiere.

As we reported just a few minutes ago, the new issue of Green Lantern features a close up for Tomar-Re as he’ll appear in the film:
It’s pretty much the shot from the trailer, but Geoff John’s offers a little commentary, “His nature to examine everything has led the Guardians of the Universe to appoint him the archivist and protector of the sacred Book of Oa. When not studying the nature of the Corps, Tomar-Re patrols the sector of 2813 where he developed a close friendship with neighboring sector 2814’s Green Lantern, Abin Sur. Tomar has taken an interest in Abin’s replacement, Hal Jordan. Though Hal is not one for details, Tomar hopes to teach Hal what it means to be a Green Lantern.”
Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011
Superhero Hype follows the trail of actor Andrew Garfield onto British TV and Radio. First, on Capital FM, the actor reveals he shed a tear upon putting on the costume for the first time. “I didn’t think that the spandex would make me so emotional, but it did,” he says. On television, he tells BBC News former Spider-Man Tobey Maguire has wished him the best. “He sent me a lovely message through a mutual friend and he gave me his support,” he reports. “It meant a great deal because a big part of why I have loved and continue to love this character was his portrayal. To step into those shoes is no mean feat… It was generous of him to reach out and say something so I’m thankful.”
