According to The Los Angeles Times Hero Complex blog, “Thor” and “Captain America” will be in 3D. “We came to feel that in our case 3-D could be the very good friend of story and character for a different kind of experience,” says Director Kenneth Branagh. Hero Complex also has a first look at Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Tom Hiddleston as Loki:

THE GREEN HORNET
Superhero Hype has a five page report on their visit to the set. “I can’t believe we got to do it. We got to make the exact movie we wanted to make. We got Gondry as the director, we got the cast that we never would’ve dreamed of like, it’s one of those things where it’s almost like every time we had a set back, something much better ultimately would arise. We’re in a really good position now. We’re really all extremely happy, everyone’s getting along, which is great. We feel like we’ve really accomplished something because so many people said we never would do it, more than anything,” says Seth Rogen of finally getting to shoot the film.
Staring Seth Rogen, release date: January 14th, 2011
As Spinoff Online reported last night, Marvel may be looking to shoot next January. When I spoke with Marvel’s Kevin Feige last May, he did mention the film was on their internal schedule.

Mark Millar gives Total Film a tease of the premise. “What the heroes do is form gangs,” says Millar. It will also chart the creation of the villain. “You’ve got Red Mist who’s become like Alex in Clockwork Orange. So he’s a bit Heath Ledger’s Joker, a bit of all the bad guys I’ve ever loved in movies,” the writer added. While the film will no doubt tweak the ideas to fit its version of the characters, roving superhero gangs and the rise of villains is great stuff to work with.
Release date: TBA
IRON MAN 2
Brenden Fletcher over at the Blu-Ray Blog let me know he has recieved the release date and disc details for the home video release of the film. There will be plenty of features, a commentary by director Jon Favreau, and on the Blu-Ray release there will be the “S.H.I.E.L.D. Data Vault” which will “Interact with select scenes from the movie that include new layers of graphics and insider information.”
Starring Robert Downey Jr., release date: September 28th, 2010
According to Michael Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly, Supergirl returns to town. “[Laura] Vandervoort-who left the show at the end of season 7 only to return briefly the following fall to wrap up Supergirl’s story-will be back for one episode (tentatively scheduled to air in October),” he writes.
Returns: September 24th, 2010
NO ORDINARY FAMILY
Ausiello has also learned the cast is expanding by one. “Sources confirm to me exclusively that ‘Criminal Minds’ and ‘Dirt’ alum Josh Stewart has been tapped to play Watcher to Michael Chiklis’ nascent superhero clan on ABC’s buzzy fall drama,” he writes. The character will appear throughout the season.
RED DEAD DONE
I finally got my 100% in “Red Dead Redemption,” finishing up in Pike’s Basin saving a heard of cows. While I still have “Assassin’s Creed” and “Dragon Age” to finish, I have a pile of comics that need reading. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of a shame pile for games.
