There was understandable curiosity about the whereabouts of a certain hammer-wielding Asgardian during the events of "Captain America: Civil War."  As it turns out, the answer - and a delightful answer at that - was that Thor simply needed some well-deserved me time and was rooming with a guy named Darryl in Australia, a fact revealed in a skit filmed by director Taika Waitit and starring Chris Hemsworth.

Thankfully, Darryl and Thor are continuing their mundane misadventures. In this latest clip, Darryl is apparently having trouble making rent with Thor's contributions which consist of a pumpkin, a few trinkets, and a handful of Asgardian coins.  Thor, still decked out in a pair of board shorts and perched on a bicycle, counsels Darryl to trade on the Thunder God's celebrity and set up a stall in "the market" selling "Asgardian ware previously own by Thor". Darryl, a bit skeptical of the endeavor, floats the idea of Thor getting a job.  This goes about as well as one would expect.

It's always fun to see Chris Hemsworth flex his not-inconsiderable comedic chops and these vignettes with Darryl have proven to be one of Marvel's more entertaining marketing ploys.  Now there's the question of whether Darryl will make an appearance in the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok."  Unfortunately, fans will likely have to wait until the film's November 3 release to find out.  Hopefully, a few more of Darryl and Thor's misadventures will pop up in the meantime.

Directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban and Mark Ruffalo, “Thor: Ragnarok” is set to be released on November 3, 2017.
