What do you get when you mix a pinch of Hulk, a dash of Led Zeppelin and a hint of Cate Blanchett as a Norse goddess? The answer is the most watched trailer in 24 hours in Disney and Marvel Studios history.

Released on Monday, the teaser trailer for "Thor: Ragnarok" gained over 136 million views in its first day, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The trailer has surpassed view numbers across all of Disney's brands, including Lucasfilm, Pixar and Marvel. The previous record holder was Disney's trailer for the live-action "Beauty and the Beast." Marvel's most-viewed record formerly belonged to "Captain America: Civil War," which gathered 94 million views in its first 24 hours.

The "Guardians of the Galaxy"-esque humor of the "Ragnarok" trailer seemed to resonate with a huge audience. When faced with the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Chris Hemsworth hits a home-run with the delivery of his line: "He's a friend from work!" The unveiling of the film's new villain Hela, who is played by Cate Blanchett, was likely a highlight for others. By breaking Thor's trusty hammer Mjolnir with ease and burning Asgard to ashes, she quickly proved how menacing and powerful the film's new foe will be.

Directed by Taika Waititi, "Thor: Ragnarok" stars Chris Hemsworth, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, and Mark Ruffalo. The film is scheduled to release on November 3.
