Chris Hemsworth's god of thunder clearly has little patience for the antics of director Taika Waititi in a new behind-the-scenes photo from Thor: Ragnarok.

The filmmaker posted the photo, in which an annoyed-looking Hemsworth flips him off, to mark the actor's 34th birthday. "Thank you for being so cool to me and such a supportive friend," Waititi wrote in the accompanying message to Hemsworth on Instagram. "So rare to find a connection like ours."

Happy Birthday @chrishemsworth! Thank you for being so cool to me and such a supportive friend. So rare to find a connection like ours. Xo

Waititi is shown wearing a motion-capture and equipment, presumably for his performance as the alien Korg in the Marvel Studios sequel.

Introduced in 2006 by writer Greg Pak and artist Carlo Pagulayan in Marvel Comics' The Incredible Hulk #93, part of the "Planet Hulk" storyline, Korg is a Kronan warrior from the planet Ria who becomes a member of the Warbound and helps to defeat the Red King on Sakaar. The character was retconned as one of the invading stone aliens who battled Thor in the thunder god's first appearance in 1962's Journey Into Mystery #83.

Opening Nov. 3, Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/the Hulk and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
