"Doctor Strange" isn't even in theaters yet and Marvel is already wrapping production on the 2017 entries to the MCU. "Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi tweeted that he only has two days left of filming with his two leads, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. And it looks like he's going to miss them -- in his own special way.

Though details of the next Thor film are scarce, Waititi is not a director known for his heavy-handed pathos. His most recent film release, "Hunt For the Wilderpeople," was more of a heartwarming comedy than a Shakespearian superhero drama. His most famous film, "What We Do In the Shadows," was a full-fledged genre comedy -- and that's kinda what Waititi has indicated "Ragnarok" will be. The only major insight into his creative process for "Thor" has been provided by a hilarious short film about Thor and his roommate Darryl. So when he calls his stars a "pair of idiots," you've got to believe he's doing it with affection.

With filming of his leads wrapping up, post-production and effects work can begin. Marvel just released a short trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2,", so the day we get a look at Thor's next adventure shouldn't be too far off.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban and Mark Ruffalo, “Thor: Ragnarok” is set to be released on November 3, 2017.
