After revealing the cover for its upcoming issue, featuring Spider-Man himself, Empire Magazine has debuted a new still of Chris Hemsworth as the god of thunder from Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok.

Sporting the character's new haircut and battle gear, the actor is seen on the set for Sakaar, the barbaric planet where gladiators fight for the amusement of Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster. As teased in the first trailer, Thor exchanges his signature flowing locks for a shorn look, complete with battle point, ahead of his faceoff in the arena against the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

Directed by Taika Waititi, film marks Hemsworth's sixth turn as Thor, following his cameo last fall in Doctor Strange, and could very well be the thunder god's most impressive entry to date, if trailer views are any indication. As previously reported, the teaser broke Marvel and Disney viewership records.
