As we reported here at CBR yesterday, the sequel is set for a summer 2013 release. Sadly, director Kenneth Branagh will not be returning to direct. I think his sensibility was an important piece to making the film work, but with the second outing presumably being a more Earth-bound affair, a new director might be a good idea. I suggest John Milius, the director of the original “Conan The Barbarian.”
Starring Chris Hemsworth, release date: July 26, 2013
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES
The lads at Comic Book Movie are watching the Twitter feeds closely for any leaked info on the film. Today, they hit paydirt with this little tweet from a boom operator: “‘The Dark Knight Rises’: Inside Info, they are Building 2 Attack Helicopters in the same design as the Bat Mobile from The Dark Knight! BOOM” I bet they come in black. Meanwhile, another CBM user notes this page organizing extras for a football scene to be shot in Pittsburgh.

Bravo.
